About B. Carey

I’d rather die at the Gardens of Babylon than in my bed at home”  – B. Carey

Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Thailand

If this quote doesn’t accurately describe me I don’t know what will. Hello, My name is Brieanna Carey and I am the creator of Letsbcarey.com. My love for traveling was sparked by my lovely cousin Keiko Roy-Carey whose blog I have linked.  At just 19 I jumped on a plane alone to fly to the other side of the world. I had no idea that this journey I was embarking on would change my life forever. I spent an amazing month in Seoul, South Korea, and Thailand. I was instantly bit with a crossbreed of the wanderlust and adventure bug. As I returned to my normal everyday routine of uni and work I couldn’t shake those soul moving moments I experiences abroad. And in that transitive state, I decided to start this blog.

I wanted to show my friends and family all the things the world has to offer, be it frugal ideas to conquer Machu Picchu or heavenly spas on a clear water beach in Krabi, Thailand. My goal is to create a space for people from all walks of life to gather and bask in all that is Mother Earth, which can often include taking advantage of a glitch in an airlines server for cheap flights or sharing advice on how to survive Asian street food (which I have first-hand experience with).

So I invite you to come with me on this journey of never-ending self-discovery. I hope through my trials and errors I can make someone’s vacation a just a bit better. And while I may go off on a tangent at times, I will make it my duty to deliver the most accurate information about all the world has to offer. Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.
